Christine was beautiful on her wedding day. Don't just take my word for it though. Check out some of the reactions she received:

This is one of my favorite images of the day; when her bridesmaids saw her for the first time after she was dressed. I love that while the actual expression is different on each girl, they each say the same thing: OMG, you look amazing!

ceremony_2ca3900.jpgwedding_ceremony_3ca6424.jpgI waited for quite a while for the priest's actions to mimic those of Jesus right next to him, and this is the closest I captured:

wedding_portrait_12ca6684.jpgSome of the details from their day. Christine chose a color scheme of dark blue, with green and orange accents. Everything worked together really well, and that orange uplighting at the reception really tied everything together.

Karen and Ben are good people. The kind of people that make things better; by their actions, their outlooks, their attitudes. I'm not sure what that chances are that two people like that should happen to meet, fall madly in love, and decide to get married, but I'm glad they did. I'm also glad they chose me to photograph it, because it was a beautiful, emotional day, that -despite a few bumps along the way-  turned out perfectly.

A few portraits of Karen. Isn't she stunning? (For the record, she is also quite charming, incredibly sweet, and full of grace, but those traits don't come across as well in photos.)  :

bride_1kb5184.jpg
bride_2kb5208.jpgThe ceremony was held at Smithfield United Church in downtown Pittsburgh. I think the way Karen is looking at Ben as they exchange their vows is a pretty good summation of how they feel about one another:

I kept hearing about what fabulous dancers Ben and his brother are (and they didn't disappoint), but I have to say, Karen held her own on the dance floor:

I believe the shot of the evening was the Lemon Drop.

Karen and Ben had a photobooth set up during the reception for their guests to enjoy. This is such a fun idea for receptions; I love that your guests leave with some fun photos of themselves from your wedding, plus the bride and groom get fun photos of all of their guests. Win-win.

photobooth_25kb5953.jpgKaren and Ben, it was an honor and a delight to photograph your wedding! Thank you so much for having Jaci, Eileen and me along.

Julia and Mike shared their vows during a beautiful day rich with fabulous details. Here are some of the things that caught my eye throughout the day:

(loved those red shoes.)

wedding_details_jm.jpgJulia was a stunning bride.

The setup of the room was simply breath-taking. There was an artist set up in the corner of the room who was painting the reception as it was happening. I thought that was such a unique idea- giving the couple a piece of original artwork from their wedding day to display in their new home. (The image in the lower left hand corner is of the finished painting.)

Ashly and Brian tied the knot at the elegantly sophisticated  Carnegie Museum in Oakland. Their ceremony was held in the Hall of Architecture, with the reception following in the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer. Ashly was a stunning bride in a Monique Lhuillier gown, complete with a custom hairpiece with feathers and a cage veil. I love it when brides have a fabulous sense of style and an eye for detail, and Ashly certainly did. Everything came together to make a gorgeous, fun, and emotional day. Here are a few of my faves from their day:

Some of the details:

Isn't she stunning? And my goodness, that hairpiece made me swoon.

This may be my favorite image of the day. Ashly and Brian chose to see one another before the ceremony so we had lots of time to create some beautiful images of the two of them.

We spent a few minutes after the ceremony getting some more portraits. I could have photographed these two all night.

Much love,

These two couldn't make a better pair, they quite obviously adore one another. Nina is one of the sweetest people I've met (and gorgeous too!), and Bryan is one of the quiet, funny types. Nina and Bryan shared their vows in a beautiful ceremony set against a breathtaking backdrop. Their day was filled will love and laughter, friends and family from around the world, fabulous details, and was truly a celebration to remember.

Here are some of the details of their day:
(Notice the intricate detailing on Nina's custom-made gown. It was the perfect fusion between Indian and Western fashion, and she looked amazing in it!)

weddingdetails1.jpgThis shot of Bryan in the lobby of the Omni William Penn was taken by Joey, who was my second shooter for the day.

weddingj0246tx2.jpgI told you she's gorgeous. :)

wedding0001.jpgNina and Bryan chose to see one another before the ceremony, so we had extra time to get some portraits of the two of them. This first portrait of them was captured by Joey.

Nina and Bryan; Thanks for having me along to capture your day (and being such gracious hosts!). It's been a pleasure!

Ceremony- Carnegie Museum Hall of Architecture
Reception- Carnegie Museum Music Hall
Entertainment- DJ Jeremy Ganss. Jeremy rocked the house. All night. For real.
Lighting- A.D.S. Lighting and Staging. One of the best investments you can make at your wedding is fab lighting. Andy's the go-to guy for that. Go now.
